Rosalie gets an “A”
Ms Rosalie Abie a final year student at the Swiss College of Agriculture (SHL), Bern interned with ANTHRA during the period Feb – July 2009 to undertake her field assignment. The topic of her study was “Sheep Husbandry in the Deccan plateau in India; Recent developments and new challenges from keeping the Deccani breed and the introduced Nellore Breed” The objective of the field assignment is to expose students to new technical, social and institutional aspects of agriculture and related fields in the tropics and subtropics of Africa, Latin America and Asia or in the transition countries of Eastern Eur ope and Central Asia. During the field assignment, the student dedicates about two third of his/her working time on a Specific Topic and to assume the responsibility for developing this topic. The remaining time is devoted to becoming acquainted with the host institution, understanding the local livestock production systems and carrying out routine activities for the host institution Rosalie received an A for her Thesis paper. Congratulations Rosalie.
