Reviving the Gongadi
Crafting wool into the Gongadi, is a highly skilled, creative and labour intensive activity. Young men and women from shepherding communities have all but stopped learning these skills from their parents, and the skill and craft may die out with the passing of this generation of weavers and spinners who continue to lovingly sustain the craft, against all odds.
