    • The Gongadi Revival Story Continues– Season II

    • After the successful first – ever Gongadi exhibition last year (2011) in Hyderabad, the Unni Sangham and Anthra, embarked on the second season of exhibitions which travelled to 3 cities – Chennai, Hyderabad and Bangalore and is gearing up for Delhi in January. This season’s Gongadi exhibitions began in Chennai, hosted by Dakshinchitra, where our gongadis were showcased from 5th to 11th October 2012, co-inciding with the World Crafts Council Conference, organised in Chennai. The Gongadi exhibition returned to Hyderabad from 11th to 13th October jointly organised by Malkha Marketing Trust and Anthra, and was exhibited at the Malkha Shop, Hyderabad. Co-inciding with the COP-CBD 11 in Hyderabad, the Gongadis- symbols of conservation of Telangana’s very own Deccani sheep breed, were exhibited as a part of the People’s Bio-diversity Festival from 13th to 16th October 2012. Last in the series of exhibition this year was at Bangalore organized by the boutique Ants (The action north east trust), between 19th to 22nd October 2012.
