The Future of Livestock Keeping
Dr. Nitya Ghotge participated in an International Conference hosted by the League of Pastoral People, Germany on the Future of Livestock Keeping The conference had over 80 participants representing Europe, Asia, Africa, North and South America. Key discussions centered on how to put livestock rearing on a more sustainable path and alternate visions emerged as panelists discussed and debated the future of livestock keeping. Mr. Henning Steinfeld, chief livestock policy analyst at FAO gave his vision and so did policy analysts, politicians, veterinarians, development practitioners, farmers and shepherds.
