    • Learning on the move

    • While school and learning often conjure up images of heavy school bags and hours in dreary classrooms there is a lot of learning which happens outside of schools.

Our work with nomadic shepherds and the innovative “nomad edu kit” shows that given a chance people will learn whatever the circumstances . All they need is a small window of opportunity .

Follow the stories of Banu bai , Pramod and Balu as they quickly progress from being unable to read to functional literacy . This learning has happened in their hamlets where they have taught each other and themselves. Educational aids have been the mobile phone , the Nomad edu kit and a solar lamp . Stay with us we will bring you more updates.

Rasi Surana who designed the Nomad edu kit shares her journey too https://theshepherdproject.tumblr.com/post/
